Posting my last photos of Belgrade. The old fort (no, not the old fart), my hotel door (love green), and brick laying. One by one they are feverishly trying to finish the square with thousands of heavy blocks of granite/bricks (?). They’ve been working day and night, and on Sundays. The guide the other day said this was already done and for some reason, dug it all up again and are relaying the bricks. In the summer, you can fry an egg on the hot bricks. The guide was very upset that they didn’t put in any trees. Kind of agree with him.
The coffee cup and chocolates are from the hotel clerk, Mila who was so nice and helpful. What a nice gift - but I really didn’t have room for it in my luggage. So sweet!
