Yangon: Shwedagon Pagoda

Shwedagon Pagoda – OMG!!  Or should I say, OMB (Buddha).  This place is stunning with its gold paint and size and is impossible to describe.  Many tourists and hundreds of people praying in front of the various Buddha statues.  Lots of money is given to the temples and Pagodas.  Everything donated by the devotees and donation boxes can be found about every 50 feet.  If you are poor, you can give blood or provide free services.  The top of the Pagoda includes jewels and gems from donors.  Monks could be seen meditating and praying out loud.  So much to take in and digest.  It was particularly vibrant at sunset.  Also explored the area today and its endless street vendors.
