Yangon: Pagoda, Pagoda, Pagoda

Walked a little along Inya Lake then visited the Chauk Htat Kyi Pagoda (reclining Buddha) and the Botahtaung Pagoda (sitting Buddha) – both statues a few stories high.  These two temples were much less touristy and quiet.  It was a great time to relish in the experience and watch the people as they donate and pray.  Botahtaung Temple was playing loud modern music with many nuns seated for prayer in front of the Buddha.  We were walking in the wrong area with our shoes on and this man starting yelling at me to take my shoes off and even pushed my arm to get out of the area.  You must take your shoes off before entering the temple, but we were outside of the temple at this point.  All the while the monks were telling me to pass and not worry about it.  Yikes.

Today dinner at the night market and some rest before we head to Vientiane, Laos tomorrow.
