Bangkok: Long line for Padthai

We made it!!!  After 18 hours of flight time, one connection that felt like a marathon race, and delayed luggage, Paul and I made it safely to Bangkok.  We immediately hit the streets and saw the most amazing temple, Wat Ratchanatdaram Worawihan, and the Royal Pavilion Mahachetsadabodin. Heard the monks praying and preparing for the new year.   As many are on holiday, we were one of only a few to be at the temple. Then came across a long line on the street where people were waiting to enter the restaurant Thipsamai the originator of padthai.  After 45 minutes waiting in line watching the tuk tuks go by, we are eating the best padthai ever.  Was here 20 years ago but not without the crowds and tourists.  This is such a treat.  New Years will be different as people flock to the temples to pray for peace in the new year.  Amen to that.
